Our volunteers contribute throughout the week, but Tuesdays and Saturdays are our busiest days in the garage. The outline below is a typical description of work on specific days but because we are a volunteer organization, our schedule may occasionally change, so please check our calendar for updates.
Saturday – Client Service
Saturday is our busiest day, focused primarily on servicing client vehicles. We specialize in jobs that can be completed within a few hours, such as oil changes, brake work, and routine maintenance.
Tuesday – Donated Vehicles
We follow a schedule similar to Saturday but we focus on preparing donated vehicles for transfers to clients that need a vehicle. Sometimes the work is more complex such as replacing a timing belt or steering rack. There is also the need to take a vehicle to a service partner for new tires or arrange to have a window replaced.
Wednesday – Planning
We hold an administrative planning meeting Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM for about an hour. This meeting is held both in person at Bellevue Presbyterian Church and online via Zoom.
